Similar to skin resurfacing laser treatments, Fractional Skin Resurfacing uses micro needling technology to stimulate the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.

Fractional Skin Resurfacing contains fine surgical needles precisely engineered to be drawn over the treatment area. This creates specific "micro-wounds" to induce Collagenesis, which triggers the body's natural healing process to create firmer, plumper, youthful skin with a healthy glow. In addition, Angiogenesis stimulates new capillary growth for better blood supply to the effected area of the skin.

Two of the biggest concerns from my clients have been the amount of pain associated with Fractional Skin Resurfacing and downtime. On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the most painful, I give dermarolling about a 4. As far as downtime, there is usually a bit of erythema (redness) for a few hours to a day after the treatment. So similar to a mild peel or microdermabrasion treatment.
